Konnor Griffin is US1 in 2026 Topps Update Series, and the box you open decides which Griffin you can pull

Konnor Griffin is card US1 in 2026 Topps Update Series and has more rows on Topps' checklist than anyone. Some of his cards live only in Hobby, some only in Super boxes, and one never shows up in Hobby or Jumbo.

Lead

Konnor Griffin is card US1 in 2026 Topps Update Series, and no name has more rows on Topps' checklist spreadsheet. That makes a Pirates spot in an Update break a Griffin chase. But the box you open decides which Griffin you can pull. His Clear variation lives only in Hobby. His Stars of MLB card never shows up in Hobby or Jumbo. His oversized cards come only in Super boxes. Pick the Pirates, then pick the box.

Why the Pirates spot

Griffin is RC-tagged on Topps' checklist, and he's all over it. He has the base card (US1), a Rookie Debut card (US255), a Veteran Combo with Oneil Cruz (US80) and a Season Highlights card. Each of those gets the short-print families Topps runs on the base set: Golden Mirror, Clear, True Photo, Team Color Border, Vintage Stock and the Value box Holiday look. US1 also gets the two scarce variations that only 25 players get, the 1952 Rookie Variation and the Player Number Variation.

The hit side runs deep too. He has a Real One autograph on US1, a 1952 Rookie autograph, a Baseball Stars auto (BSAU-KG), and inserts across All Kings, Mystical, Heavy Lumber, Home Field and Matt Szczur Art.

The catch is where those cards live. A Hobby box, a Jumbo box, a Value blaster and a Super box don't hold the same Griffins.

Most rows on Topps' checklist spreadsheet

Player Rows
Konnor Griffin 60

Munetaka Murakami 49

Method: rows on Topps' 2026 Update Series checklist spreadsheet whose player cell is that name. Each variation or parallel family counts as its own row, and combo cards list each player on his own row. These are rows, not different cards.

Context under the feel

Hobby is where the Clear variation lives, and it's the only place. Jumbo carries the shorter per-pack odds on the big US1 chases, but Jumbo packs hold 40 cards to Hobby's 12, per Checklist Insider. Retail and Super boxes are where Stars of MLB lands, and the Super box is the only home for the oversized US1 and the Companion Card.

Per Checklist Insider, Hobby boxes are 12 cards per pack and 20 packs per box with 1 autograph or relic. Jumbo boxes are 40 cards per pack and 10 packs with 1 autograph and 1 relic. Value blasters are 12 cards per pack and 6 packs. Super boxes are 14 cards per pack and 10 packs, plus 1 Flagship Collection pack. Checklist Insider lists the release for October 14.
