The Rays are going to the World Series. In Cosmic Chrome, the Tampa Bay spot is the Caminero spot

Tampa Bay beat Cleveland 7–3 to win the AL pennant. In CSL's 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball break, Junior Caminero is on 4 of the Rays' 7 hits, including the only Rays case hit.

Lead

Junior Caminero's two-run homer went off the left-field foul pole in the seventh inning Monday night. He stopped in front of first base and turned to his dugout. Then, just short of home plate, he stopped again and hit Randy Arozarena's arms-crossed pose with the former Rays great, who was sitting behind the plate. "I want to cry right now because I've put in a lot of work for this team, to support this city," Caminero said after the game, per MLB.com. Tampa Bay beat Cleveland 7–3 to take the ALCS 4–2, 18 years to the day after the 2008 club clinched the franchise's first World Series trip. MLB.com calls Caminero "the face of the Tampa Bay Rays." On Chrome Spot Lab's 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball board he's the face of the team spot too: claim Tampa Bay and you're mostly claiming Caminero.

Why the Rays spot

Monday's win took the whole lineup. Richie Palacios hit a two-run double in the second, Yandy Díaz added a two-run homer in the eighth and got a curtain call, and Freddy Peralta went 5 1/3 innings allowing one run and was named ALCS MVP. "It feels like I'm on top of the world," Díaz said through interpreter Kevin Vera.

The card board is a lot narrower. Tampa Bay has 7 hits on CSL's Cosmic Chrome board, and Caminero is on 4 of them: the only Rays case hit (Supernova), the Rays' only base-set variation, and two autographs. The other three hits are all the same family, Cosmic Chrome Autographs, for Chandler Simpson, Carson Williams and Jacob Melton. Topps prints Williams and Melton as Rookie. That auto trio is the second lane. If Caminero doesn't hit for you, those three autos are what's left on the spot.

One twist: the ALCS MVP isn't on the Rays spot. Peralta's only Cosmic Chrome card is base #101, and Topps prints it as a New York Mets card. On CSL, a Peralta pull lands on the Mets spot. Arozarena is the same story: his cards are Seattle Mariners cards.

Proof under the feel

Every row comes from Topps' official Cosmic Chrome checklist and matches CSL's live team board. Odds are Topps' published Hobby odds per pack for the whole family. That's the chance of pulling any card from the family, not this player's card. Topps notes that odds reflect intended configuration and actual contents may vary.

Tampa Bay's 7 hits on CSL's board

Card # Player Family Board column Hobby odds (family)
SN-15 Junior Caminero Supernova SSP (case hit) 1:1,214
#165 Junior Caminero Constellation Variation Variations 1:605
LIOA-JCA Junior Caminero Launched Into Orbit Autograph Autos 1:1,051

CCA-CS Chandler Simpson Cosmic Chrome Autograph Autos 1:136
CCA-CWI Carson Williams (Rookie) Cosmic Chrome Autograph Autos 1:136
CCA-JME Jacob Melton (Rookie) Cosmic Chrome Autograph Autos 1:136

That's 5 autos, 1 case hit and 1 variation, for 7. Inserts show on the team page but don't count toward CSL's hit total. Caminero also has base #18 and four inserts. Williams has base #178 (printed Rookie) and three inserts. Díaz (#20), Simpson (#92), Ian Seymour (#110, printed Rookie) and Jonathan Aranda (#170) are base only. Counts only, no prices.

One Lunar note, labeled as such: Topps prints Supernova at 1:77 in Lunar packs, compared with 1:1,214 in Hobby. CSL's break runs Hobby.

Context under the feel (receipted only)

Both World Series spots are thin, and both are concentrated. Milwaukee has 9 hits and Jacob Misiorowski is on 7 of them (the Brewers side is here). Tampa Bay has 7, with Caminero on 4. For scale, the Dodgers team the Brewers swept has 34 on the same board, and Cleveland has 10.

Caminero's Game 6 line, per Baseball-Reference: 2-for-3, two runs, two RBIs, a homer and a walk. Peralta's reaction was shorter: "This is unbelievable." Kevin Cash had the line for the room: "I heard the line that we don't have any Hall of Famers in that room right now -- we might, but not yet. But I can assure you we have a lot of gamers, and we're excited to get up there to Milwaukee."

World Series Game 1 is Friday at American Family Field in Milwaukee, at 7 p.m. CT on FOX. As MLB.com puts it, the Series "will crown a first-time champion either way." This is the Rays' third World Series, after 2008 and 2020.
